I have a dream, that one we can all love each other despite our differences.
Instead of judging we get to know.
Instead of turning the cheek we take situations head on.
That we learn to build up a new tolerance level that was not there before.
A tolerance level that decides to not react, but to think before actions are made.
For people to get that everything is not black and white.
To not believe that every injustice is based on what you look like because often times it isn't.
I have a dream that people from all walks of life can get the point that we can all learn from each other.
Instead of talking about a problem we solve it.
Instead of waiting for a solution we create one.
People take the time to care about others. To learn that you are your brothers keeper.
To have a generation that truly doesn't judge by the color of the skin but the content of their character.
I have a dream that one day all the senseless violence can cease.
Instead of retaliating all the time we forgive and forget.
Instead of always wanting to have an eye for an eye we can learn to not hold grudges.
To learn the past is the past and all that matters is the future.
That one day young men can notice that having a gun at your waist doesn't make you a man but a college education does.
My dream may be far from reality.
But anything is possible, in 1963 Dr. King told America his dream, many thought it was impossible.
But now in 2011 there is a black president. 47 years later most of his dreams have turned into a reality.
Yes there is racism, and it always will be.
But something that we have now is tolerance, respect, and justice.
Concepts that were once heavily over-looked. The dream is still alive.
